When using Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 SE, 
Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000, this installation 
tool will automatically run (AUTORUN) once you 
insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. The Main 
Board Utility CD screen will then appear with 
a list of the following choices:

	VIA Service Pack
	Realtek Audio Drivers
	Realtek LAN Drivers for Windows 
        VIA VGA Driver
	VIA Hardware Monitor
        Microsoft DirectX 8.1
	Readme
	Exit

NOTE:
"AUTORUN"  supports the Windows 95, Windows 98,
Windows 98SE, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 
operating systems.If after inserting the CD, "AUTORUN" 
did notautomatically start (which is, the Main Board
Utility CD screen did not appear), please go
directly to the root directory of the CD and
double-click "AUTORUN".



VIA Service Pack 
----------------

VIA Service Pack includes 3 system drivers which when
installed will improve the performance as well as 
maintain the stability of a system that uses the 
VIA 694/686 chipset. The drivers are:

1. VIA ATAPI Vendor Support Driver
2. AGP VxD Driver
3. IRQ Routing Miniport Driver
4. VIA INF Driver

You must first install the "AGP VxD Driver" and "VIA 
Chipset Functions' Registry" drivers. These drivers can
automatically be installed by clicking "VIA Service Pack" 
in the Main Board Utility CD screen or double-clicking 
"autorun" in the root directory of the CD. 

For detailed information, please read carefully the 
drivers' "readme". You may also refer to the "readme" 
that appears when you install the VIA Service Pack.

Note:
If you wish to improve the system's IDE performance, you 
need to install a driver. 

1. In the IDEDRV root directory of the CD, execute the 
   "IDE3014" file.
2. Run "setup".
3. Make sure you select "miniport driver", which is the 
   driver that will help improve the system's IDE performance.


Realtek Audio Drivers for Windows 95/98/98SE/NT4.0/2000/XP
------------------------------------------------------------

Click "Realtek Audio Drivers" and then follow the step by step 
instructions to complete installation.

RTL8100 LAN Drivers for Windows 95/98/98SE/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP
------------------------------------------------------------

Install the LAN driver only if your system board supports the 
onboard LAN. Once the system has detected the onboard Realtek 
RTL8100 fast ethernet controller, it will prompt you to install the 
LAN driver for the operating system you are using. Since the LAN 
drivers does not support Autorun, locate the drivers (Windows 98, 
Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows NT4) in the "RTL8100" 
root directory of the CD.


VIA VGA Drivers for Windows 95/98/98SE/NT4.0/2000/XP
------------------------------------------------------

Click "VIA VGA Drivers" and then follow the step by step
instructions to complete installation.


Note
1. In the WHQL root directory of the CD, execute the 
   "licensed WHQL" file.

2. Run "setup".


VIA Hardware Monitor for Windows 95/98/98SE/NT4.0/2000
------------------------------------------------------

VIA Hardware Monitor is a system monitor program.
It protects the PC's hardware by monitoring several critical 
conditions such as the power supply's voltage, speed of the 
CPU & chassis fans, as well as the temperature of the 
CPU and system.

Monitoring these conditions are important to the entire 
operation of the system as errors may result to permanent 
damage to the PC. Once a condition runs out of its range, a 
warning message will pop-up reminding you to perform the 
proper "treatment".

Click "VIA Hardware Monitor" and then follow the step by step 
instructions to complete installation.

Microsoft DirectX 8.1
----------------------

	Microsoft developed DirectX so that the performance
	of applications running in the Microsoft Windows(r) 
	operating system can rival or exceed the performance
	of applications running in the MS-DOS(r) operating 
	system or on game consoles.
